Overview

Program Overview

The Sound Arts Bachelor's Degree program provides students with knowledge and skills to help shape audio design and creation and get students into the field in as few as 32 months.

 

Degree Progression

Each academic year you'll be immersed in project-based, hands-on courses while gradually accruing your general education requirements.

Freshman Year: Music Theory, Communications & Critical Thinking, Living in a Media World

Sophomore Year: Concepts in Science, Mathematical Concepts, Basic Recording, Studio Maintenance

Junior Year: Popular Culture, Intermediate Recording & Production, Live Sound & Lighting, Digital Audio Workstations

Senior Year: Creative Writing, American History, Advanced Audio Recording & Production, Studio Etiquette & Psychology, Senior Research Project

Bachelor's of Applied Science students will be required to complete 36 credits of General Education classes including: Communications & Critical Thinking, Mathematical Concepts, American History, Creative Writing, and more.
