About our Scholarship Program

At SAE Institute, we support students in need and reward achievement, dedication, and future potential. Our Scholarship Program offers the following scholarships to students accepted to certain programs that meet eligibility requirements.

 Merit and Need Based Scholarships

  • Merit or Need-Based
  • Covers up to 25% of Program Tuition
  • Open to Domestic and International Students

Merit Based Scholarships

SAE Institute's Merit Based Scholarships provide financial assistance to domestic and international students who are accepted full-time to a program at SAE Institute. A Merit Based Scholarship pays up to 25% of the total program tuition.

A Merit Based Scholarship applicant must be:

  • 17 years of age or older
  • A U.S. citizen, eligible non-citizen, or International Student
  • Accepted full-time into an SAE Institute Program

The scholarship application is complete once all items are received by the Financial Services Office:

  • Completed Merit Based Application
  • Completed and Filed Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • A Letter of Recommendation sent directly to the college to ensure authenticity. The Letter of Recommendation cannot be written by a member of the applicant's family.
  • Original Essay, two pages, double spaced with 12-point font. The essay topic is "Why I Should Receive this Scholarship over Another Student." Essay should be attached to the completed application.

Due Date: Complete application package is due to the Financial Services office no later than 7 business days before the start of the term.

Need Based Scholarships

SAE Institute's Need Based Scholarships provide financial assistance to students with limited financial means who are accepted full-time to a program at SAE Insitute. A Need Based Scholarship pays up to 25% of the program tuition.

A Need Based Scholarship applicant must be:

  • 17 years of age or older
  • A U.S. Citizen
  • Accepted full-time into an SAE Institute program

The scholarship application is complete once all items are received by the Financial Services Office:

  • Completed Need Based Scholarship Application
  • Completed and Filed Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • A Letter of Recommendation sent directly to the college to ensure authenticity. The Letter of Recommendation cannot be written by a member of the applicant's family

Due Date: Complete application package is due to the Financial Services office no later than 7 business days before the start of the term.

SAE Expression College Entertainment Business Scholarship

SAE Expression College’s Entertainment Business Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who are accepted and enrolling in the Diploma or AAS in Entertainment Business Program.

The SAE Expression College Scholarship pays up to 10% of the program tuition.

To apply, students must meet the following criteria:

  • 17 years of age or older
  • A U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
  • Have been accepted full-time into the Diploma or AAS in Entertainment Business program at SAE Expression College

The scholarship application is complete once all items are received by the Financial Services Office at SAE Expression College:

  • Completed SAE Expression College Entertainment Business Scholarship Application
  • Completed and filed Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA)

Due Date: Complete application package is due to the Financial Services office no later than 7 business days before the start of the term.

International Student Scholarship

SAE Institute International Student Scholarship is for full-time students attending the College on an appropriate student visa. The International Student Scholarship pays 10% of program tuition.

To apply, students must meet the following criteria:

  • 17 years or older
  • Complete International Student Scholarship application
  • An international student with a valid student visa
  • Accepted into a full-time program

The scholarship application is complete once all items are received by the Financial Services Office:

  • Completed International Scholarship application

Due Date: Complete application package is due to the Financial Services office no later than 3 months before the start of the term.

Students awarded a scholarship will have the total award divided among their remaining payment periods of enrollment in the program. Payment of the award is made as a cash credit against the total balance on the student's ledger at the successful completion of each semester. The scholarship has no cash equivalence. Students who withdraw or are terminated due to nonattendance, code of conduct violations or otherwise fail the semester will have the award amount pro-rated to the percentage of the semester completed.
