Audio Bachelor of Applied Science
Program Overview
If you are interested in attending SAE Institute audio schools, you will have the option to enroll in the Audio Bachelor of Applied Science program. This music production degree expands students’ knowledge with advanced subjects including studio production, mastering, sound design, game audio, projection mapping, and creative coding. These intensive programs combine audio and technology to prepare students for a wide variety of career outcomes in creative media industries. You’ll learn to produce a variety of work including studio production, post-production, live sound and theater lighting, electronic music production, sound design, interactive audio, studio maintenance, audiovisual technology, entertainment business, career preparation, portfolio development, and other multimedia applications.
This is a hands-on, project-based program culminating in a major capstone project that draws upon the range of knowledge and skills learned throughout the program, and the program can be completed in as few as 32 months.
Degree Progression
While working towards your music production degree you'll be immersed in project-based, hands-on courses while gradually accruing your general education requirements.
Bachelor of Applied Science students will be required to complete 36 credits of General Education classes including Speech Communication, College Mathematics, American History, Literature, and more.

Class Schedule
Class sizes are limited to maximize individual attention. Please refer to the campus catalog for specific class times or contact the campus to determine class time availability. Not all class times are offered every semester. Students also attend practical lab sessions, and these hours are scheduled on an individual basis during hours of school operation, and the maximum number of students is based on the number of available stations. Extra lab time may be reserved without additional charge, subject to availability. Students may also be required to attend seminars/workshops for specific courses.
