What exactly is the Audio Diploma Program?

SAE Institute’s Audio Diploma Program is an intensive practical and theoretical course of study that provides students with the knowledge and skills to shape audio design and creation. Students attending this program learn both the technical and creative components of audio design and the business principles of the entertainment industry. This is a hands-on, project-based program.

How long does it take?

The Diploma in Audio program consists of 11 courses designed to be taken in just 12 months.

Where can I take courses?

Currently, the Audio Diploma program is offered at 4 of our 6 campuses: Chicago, Atlanta, Nashville, and Emeryville.

What kind of learning areas are covered?

The coursework is designed to progressively build skills toward the completion of educational and technical goals and includes courses of study such as Principles of Sound, Music Theory, and Studio Production just to name a few.
