The new Los Angeles campus of SAE Institute, one of America's premier creative media colleges, officially opened its doors to students for its spring semester on Monday, January 5. The new campus, which occupies the former Hollywood offices of the Eastman Kodak Company on Santa Monica Boulevard at Las Palmas Avenue, offers a variety of upgrades that are aimed to augment SAE's Beat Lab, Audio Technology, and Electronic Music Production Programs.

"The new home of SAE Los Angeles is large, open, modern, and feels like true college campus," says SAE Los Angeles Campus Director Justin Pond. "Students in each of our three creative media programs will be able to immediately take advantage of all of the exciting improvements that are available."

SAE Institute Los Angeles’ new offerings include:

  • A Learning Resource Center, equipped with 12 iMac workstations and a tutoring center
  • Five state-of-the-art and acoustically correct live rooms and 13 control rooms with a variety of industry standard equipment
  • Five new classrooms
  • Student lounge spaces - with enhanced WiFi - throughout the campus' two buildings
  • A 44 seat screening room/dub stage with an Avid S6 mixing console and JBL Screen Array 5.1 system for classes, screenings, workshops, and presentations
  • Expanded students services, administration, and career support

Additional upgrades to be offered by SAE Los Angeles' new campus will be announced throughout the winter months. An official grand opening event for the campus will take place in March. "Everything that's new about SAE LA will add to the excellence that we've always delivered to our students," says Pond. "Our proven ability to provide the essential skills that will help students to be career-ready when they graduate will be even more pronounced, thanks to our new facilities and ramped up student support capabilities."
