Transfer Agreement for The Art Institute of Tennessee - Nashville Students to SAE Institute Nashville

SAE Institute Nashville and The Art Institute of Tennessee - Nashville have announced a transfer agreement for Art Institute (AI) students interested in completing their studies at SAE Institute Nashville. The details are as follows:

  • This Agreement is designed to facilitate a smooth transition for students at The Art Institute of Tennessee - Nashville (Al), 100 Centerview Dr, Suite 250, Nashville, TN, wishing to transfer to SAE Institute of Technology, 7 Music Circle North, Nashville, TN, to complete their studies.
  • This Agreement does not guarantee admission to SAE Institute or admission to any speciic program at SAE Institute. Students shall apply for admission to SAE Institute in accordance with rules, policies, and procedures of SAE Institute in effect at the time of application.
  • AI Students wishing to transfer credits to SAE Institute must arrange for official transcripts from AI and any other institutions that they would like to transfer credits from be forwarded directly to the Student Advisor's office at SAE Institute. The official transcript(s) must be received two weeks prior to the first day of the term for which the student will be starting.
  • The decision to award transfer credit is at the sole discretion of SAE Institute. SAE Institute will determine if courses completed at previous institutions are sufficiently equivalent to courses in the student's program of intended enrollment.
  • Only courses with passing grades of "C" or better will be taken into consideration for transfer.
  • Courses from AI are in quarter credits and SAE Institute is a semester credit school. Therefore, two courses from AI are accepted for one course from SAE Institute. Both courses from AI must be successfully completed in order to transfer for the one course at SAE Institute.
  • Factors used to determine transfer of credit include but are not limited to the number of course credits earned, objectives and descriptions of previous courses, length of time passed since courses were completed, and the academic level of previous courses.
  • Courses that are approved to be awarded transfer of credit will show on the student's transcript as "TC."
  • Students who receive transfer credit will have the tuition charge for the program prorated based upon the remaining number of credit hours the student must earn in order to graduate.
  • Students must complete at least 40% of their core and general education coursework at SAE Institute.
  • This Agreement shall commence on the date of the signature entered on this Articulation Agreement and shall terminate two years from the execution date.
  • Changes made to relevant curriculum by SAE Institute will necessitate review of the AI programs to determine if modification of Agreement is necessary. If deemed appropriate, a new agreement will be generated and signed.
  • Students will be required to follow the policies outlined in the current SAE Institute Academic Catalog.
  • Students will be responsible for completing all graduation requirements of SAE Institute in effect at the time of graduation in order to graduate.
  • The class schedule at SAE Institute will determine when the AI student can start classes at SAE Institute.
