VIDEO ASSET TECHNICIAN
John Neira
Thinking back on my experience at Expression College, I've got to say it was wonderful. The Digital Film program had just begun, so my class got to experience it all fresh. Beyond the digital film class, I was able to immerse myself in an environment that was filled with creative and highly motivated individuals from various different fields such as animation, sound arts, etc. This all enhanced my own fuel for motivation to excel. The greatest help I believe was the constant field experience that we were tasked to do. Rather than spend so much time in the class going through power-points and such, our instructors constantly encouraged and appointed us assignments of filming on the field. This was the greatest education: to be
involved in all facets of production; preproduction, production, and post; in a multitude of projects with the class was amazing. I would say that putting in the effort and work constantly during my time at Expression is what prepared me for career success. The constant projects being given with deadlines pushed me to establish great work ethics, and I believe I take with work ethic with me into every opportunity given to me, and for that I will always be grateful.
