We have the resources to help guide and support you on your career journey. Whether you’re a current student, you’ve just graduated, or are reaching out after years in your field, our career services team is here to help you find your fit in the creative media industry as an SAE Institute alum.

Our Career Services Team

SAE Institute’s Career Services team consists of various professionals whose experience includes and ranges from the music and entertainment industry to the career services education field. With this experience and industry knowledge, students and alumni of SAE Institute have the support needed to jumpstart their careers.

Résumé Development Assistance

SAE Institute offers hands-on resume development assistance in the classroom and in one-on-one advising sessions with Career Services staff. Students and alumni can receive guidance in creating and developing their résumé, cover letters, and portfolios.

Interview Skills Coaching

Students and alumni are encouraged to set appointments and meet with their local Career Services advisor on campus for assistance with their career planning. This includes sharpening interviewing skills and practicing with a Career Services Advisor to prepare for the next job opportunity.

Portfolio Development Assistance

A portfolio of work is critical to landing a career in the creative media industry, and it is best to begin building your portfolio at the start of your education. SAE Institute offers an innovative tool, Portfolium, to help build your professional portfolio that can showcase the skills and projects developed during the program.

The Career Services team can help advise you on how to organize a portfolio, and Portfolium can also provide support on producing an effective portfolio.

Career-Related Workshops

Career-related workshops are held on a regular basis and are open for students and alumni to attend. Previous workshops have included a Women in Music Panel, Speed Networking, Hear It From The Grads panel, and more. Guests and workshops vary by campus.

Employer Hiring Events

Much like workshops, campuses regularly host Job Fairs open to SAE Institute’s upcoming graduates and alumni. Job seekers prepared with resumes and dressed in professional attire meet employers for on-the-spot interviews. Employers in attendance can vary, but have previously included Apple, Corporate AV, Spectra Audio, KVL, and more.

Industry Relationships

SAE Career Services Advisors are regularly developing relationships with potential employers and seeking out employment opportunities to support graduates and alumni.
