NEW YORK, NY, AUGUST 2023 – SAE Institute North America is pleased to announce the appointment of Heyward Howell as Campus Director at the New York campus. Heyward is a veteran of the US higher education industry and brings over 2 decades of experience in education and finance, and will be providing exceptional new leadership over the New York campus.
Prior to joining SAE Institute, Heyward served as the Campus President for Fortis Institute in Lawrenceville, NJ and Director of Financial Aid at Fortis College in Columbia, South Carolina.
Heyward previously served as the Director of Student Financial Services for the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Gilbert, Arizona. He has also held various financial and compliance roles for Wells Fargo, Grand Canyon University, the U.S. Department of Education, and Corinthian Colleges, Inc.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia and currently resides in New Jersey.
“I look forward to working with our students as we develop the passion they have already shown for the career they have chosen,” says Heyward. “My ultimate goal is to help guide these students in the path that will provide them with the most success in a professional career.”
As he settles into his new role, Heyward will be working closely with members of the leadership team including former Campus Director, Gary Williams, to facilitate a smooth transition.
