Four Important Numbers to Consider Before Pursuing a Career in Audio

SAE Institute Audio Equipment Recording Studio

For those who are considering a career in the Audio industry, the right education can give you the skills you need to power your creative career and start working. But before making those decisions in pursuing Audio, it’s important to know just how right for you any higher education program can be.

Here at SAE Institute, we aim to provide as much information and resources as possible to ensure you get your questions answered and feel comfortable in pursuing your goals. Since some may find challenges in taking that first step, we’ve put together four important numbers that you might find helpful in your decision-making.

SEVENTEEN

The minimum age requirement to apply to SAE Institute is 17 years old. Whether you’re a current high school student looking to make educational plans after graduation, or a seasoned professional seeking a career change, as long as you’re at least 17 years old, you’re welcome to apply. Other Admission Requirements for domestic students include proof of high school graduation or GED, a government-issued photo I.D., and an entrance exam.

TWELVE

Some of our programs, such as our Audio Diploma program, can be completed in as little as twelve months. At our Nashville, Chicago, and Atlanta campuses, twelve-month program classes are typically scheduled Monday through Thursday and consist of 11 courses taken throughout the year. Students enrolled full-time in the diploma program take 2 courses per module with a short break between modules and semesters. To see more information on what class schedules look like and the types of coursework the diploma program entails, check our Campus Catalogs.

FIVE

We currently have 5 campus locations in the US that offer programs in Audio including Miami, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and Nashville. Each campus is equipped with professional equipment, purpose-built studios and facilities, and industry professionals ready to help you hone your skills and get you prepared.
