On Saturday, August 23, 2025, SAE Institute Miami hosted IMSTA FESTA, a celebration of music technology, creativity, and education. The one-day event brought together artists, producers, engineers, students, and industry leaders under one roof for a high-energy, knowledge-packed experience.
Led by the International Music Software Trade Association (IMSTA), IMSTA FESTA is a unique, annual event designed to unite the music creation community. From cutting-edge software demos and master classes to exclusive panels and song reviews, IMSTA FESTA is a full-day immersion into the tools and minds shaping the future of music.
During the Miami event, attendees had access to exhibit halls featuring top music software brands, an IMSTA Master Class Series with product demonstrations, exclusive giveaways, song reviews offering personalized feedback from industry pros, and expert panels on legal advice, music marketing, production, and more.
IMSTA FESTA Miami’s powerhouse speaker lineup included Grammy-winning mix engineer Lu Diaz, Entertainment attorney and Pyramid Records founder Allen Jacobi, Miami-based singer-songwriter Ana Paz, co-founder of NEON16 and former manager for Will Smith, Lex Borrero, Warner Music Latino executives Memo Parra and Andres Shaq, multi-platinum mix engineer Franklin Socorro, and Grammy-winning mix engineer Angelo Carretta.
Attendees also got to check out a series of free workshops led by top product experts, including Beatz Akademy and Nico Hamui. Some lucky creators even earned a Wild Card Entry to IMSTA’s global Songwriting Competition, judged by top-tier music professionals and raffle draws for gear.
“Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect since this was our first time hosting IMSTA FESTA on campus, but I was blown away. The energy was incredible—students, alumni, and guests filled the building, and even our parking lot was packed,” says SAE Institute Miami Campus Director Jerry Rivera. “The lineup of guest speakers and organizations was outstanding, and the entire day showcased the incredible talent we have here in South Florida. Without a doubt, this was one of the best events we’ve hosted in years, and I’m already looking forward to welcoming IMSTA back next year.”
The next IMSTA FESTA will take place at SAE Institute New York on October 4th, and at SAE Institute Atlanta on November 8th. Audio lovers are encouraged to check out these events if they live in or near the area.
