SAE Institute of Technology Nashville is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Chelsie Swepson as the campus’s new Director of Education.
Chelsie joined SAE Institute Nashville in May as an instructor for Environmental Science and has already demonstrated a strong commitment to student success and academic excellence. In her new leadership role, Chelsie will oversee the day-to-day and long-term success of the campus’s academic programs, providing leadership for faculty, student success initiatives, academic operations, and the delivery of SAE Institute’s student-centered educational experience.
Chelsie brings extensive experience in higher education leadership, having served in roles including Assistant Vice Provost, Associate Dean, Academic Dean, and Campus Dean. Throughout her career, she has led academic operations across multiple campuses, overseen faculty hiring and development, implemented student success and advising initiatives, and used data-informed strategies to improve engagement, retention, and institutional performance. Her collaborative leadership style and commitment to creating equitable learning environments have helped students thrive throughout every stage of their educational journey.
In addition to her leadership experience, Dr. Swepson holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Meharry Medical College. Her background as both an educator and academic leader reflects a deep commitment to student learning, faculty development, and institutional excellence.
