Dr. Michele Ernst

Bio

Dr. Michele Ernst is an educational professional with over 20 years of experience in higher education serving adult students in an online, residential and blended education environment. Dr. Ernst has a successful history of managing all functional areas of a college, with specific emphasis in academic affairs, including curriculum development, teaching, regulatory affairs and accreditation, student retention, and faculty and staff development. She has devoted her career to helping students reach their educational and career goals.

Dr. Ernst holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Master of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska and a Doctorate in Education from Hamline University.  In 2010, she received the Career College Central Most Influential People in Education Award and the 2004 ACICS Dissertation Fellowship.  She currently serves as the President of the Board for CSPEN and as a Team Leader for ACCSC.

Dr. Ernst joined SAE Institute Group in 2014, and when asked what she likes about working at SAE, she said “The best part of working at SAE is visiting campuses and meeting with students. I am constantly amazed at how incredibly creative our students are and what they are able to accomplish with the mentorship provided by our fantastic faculty!”

Dr. Ernst and her husband Jeff have triplets named Lida, Flynn and Miley. They enjoy spending time boating, skiing, reading and hiking at the family cabin in Northern Minnesota.
